Storytelling in Reflexive Practice
Humans make sense of their lives through story, “we are the stories we tell ourselves” Shekhar Kapur. In this session we will take a brief journey through different forms of story writing and telling. Story, poetry, metaphor and myth are essential tools for humans to articulate the senses and aspects of life experience that lie beyond our rational understanding and its associated language. Story, poetry, metaphor and myth enable our use of the liminal space which lies between fact and fiction where imagination becomes a sense in itself and meaning making can occur.
